Live foods are an important part of many fishís dietary requirements.
Some species of fish are reluctant to take prepared foods, and there are
others that need to be weened off live food and onto prepared foods.
Having said that live foods make a great supplement to your fishes normal feeding.
Some of the benefits of using live foods will include faster growth, better and more
intense colour development, healthier fish with higher disease resistance, and it may
also induce some fish to spawn.

Black worms, Earthworms, Mealworms, Super Mealworms, White worms (when available),
Silkworms (seasonal), Woodies (wood living cockroach), Crickets in small, medium &
large sizes, Brine shrimp (sea monkies), Gambusia (mosquito fish) (seasonal),
Yabbies small and large (freshwater crayfish), Goldfish feeders (5-6 cm & 7-8cm sizes)
